I Love to collect old brooches?besides garage/yard sales to find them cheap? Thank you?

Its takes time and effort however I get my best deals at estate sales and auctions.

I try for the whole jewelry box..I do take a peek first.

Salvation Army,Yard sales, flea markets and Ebay. Also, I would think that estate sales would have alot of them,as elderly peope tend not to throw away jewelry. Also, try yard sales. Or thrift stores,. Sometimes people place the jewelry in the display cases that they have no idea is valuable. I used to volunteer at a Savlation Army store and often times they had NO clue what was valuable and what was not.

Alot of "experts" have no clue what may be of use to one and junk to another. my mom was by no means,an expert, but she knew antiques, as she was born in 1929,and knew that the 40's-70's have yeilded some pretty cool stuff.

You can go to charity shop, or to antique shop and look into container that keep all old and some defect pieces, I 've got one silver and diamond chips brooch shape of crown on star sit on crescent moon in one of the antique shop in Indonesia, only few cents but when I brought back to Thailand to repair the pin, I found out that it worth about 100 US$. Good luck to you.

Habitat for Humanity ReStores sometimes have jewelry, Salvation army also has jewelry. And look for estate sales and auctions in the newspaper.

Try The Salvos,,Lifeline and St.Vinnies, they also have good stuff too.

antiques shop usually have really nice old jewelry maybe check out ebay aswell

Flea markets.
